We’ve all reached that moment
In the brevity of peace and stillness
The Abruptly it flutters off toward the horizon
A fleeting dream just out of grasp
Our entire life is spent trying to preserve and cement it
To cast it in steel and clip its wings
We travel great distances to explore and unearth
fascinated and mesmerized
But all along peace has been there lying at our feet
All it takes is courage, determination and no inclination of fear
Then, my fellow tortured empaths
You will feel the warm embrace of dirt
Free of body
untethered
