Be it the opulent or indigent
We’ve resilient in our inclinations
If it walks this Earth it strives toward homeostasis
And yes
I believe dualism is absolute
Yet every time we muster in our youth
strapped and vigilant
We exhaust ourselves engaging the boogeyman
Before we know it we’re grey and brittle
And our vitality’s been spent in futile combat
Understand this
the war is real but domestic
It’s no wonder we fail
the battlefield was wrong
All we do is waste a lifespan
Unable to calm those choppy waters
So we need to shift our focus
If we ever wish to reach equilibrium
